Request an assessmentManaged Google Workspace keeps the simple things simple
Good Google Workspace management is mostly about the settings nobody looks at after day one. Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) is quick to sign up for, so many businesses start with a few accounts and grow without a plan. A former employee still owns the folder everyone uses. Files are shared with anyone who has the link. 2-Step Verification is optional, so some people have it and some don’t. Three people hold super admin rights “just in case”, and everyone assumes Google keeps a backup of everything. None of it matters until a password gets phished or someone leaves with the only copy of a client file. Nexxo takes that work off your plate. We set up your domain and email authentication, organize shared drives, enforce 2-Step Verification, clean up admin roles, add proper backup and handle onboarding and offboarding. Our team monitors your environment proactively and answers 24/7, so problems get fixed before they slow anyone down.
Gmail on your domain
We set up Gmail with your company domain and publish the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that show your messages are legitimate. That helps your email reach inboxes and makes it harder for criminals to send fake messages in your name. We also review forwarding rules and spam settings.
Drive, Meet and Chat
We move important files out of personal My Drive folders into shared drives built around your teams, with external sharing set to match how you work with clients. Calendar, Meet and Chat are configured too, so meetings, rooms and team spaces work the same way for everyone.
Admin console hygiene
Too many super admins is a common risk. We keep super admin accounts to a minimum, protect them with security keys and give everyday admin tasks to role-based accounts with only the rights they need. Admin changes are logged, so you always know who changed what.
2-Step Verification enforced
We turn on 2-Step Verification for every user, not just the ones who opt in, and recommend security keys for admins and other high-risk roles. A stolen password alone is then no longer enough to get into your email, files or calendar.
Phones and laptops managed
Using Google’s endpoint management, depending on your edition, we set rules for the phones and laptops that access company data, such as requiring a screen lock. If a device is lost or stolen, we can remove the company account from it and cut off access to your data.
Backup beyond Google
Google keeps its service running, but protecting your data from deletion, a bad sync or a compromised account is largely up to you. We add a third-party Google Workspace backup for Gmail, Drive and shared drives, so we can restore what you need, when you need it.
Our 4-step Google Workspace approach
Review your setup
We review your current Google Workspace environment: users, editions, admin roles, sharing settings, email authentication, devices and backup. You get a plain-language summary of what is working, what is at risk and what to fix first, with no jargon and no pressure.
Secure and migrate
We close the urgent gaps first: 2-Step Verification for everyone, super admin cleanup, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and backup. If you are moving to Google Workspace from another email provider or another Workspace account, we plan and run the migration around your schedule.
Organize and onboard
We structure shared drives, set sharing policies and build a repeatable onboarding and offboarding process. New hires get the right groups, drives and calendars on day one. When someone leaves, we suspend the account and transfer ownership of their Drive files to the right person.
Manage and support
Our team monitors your environment proactively, adjusts settings as Google updates the platform and answers your users’ questions 24/7. We review editions, admin rights and sharing regularly, so your Google Workspace stays clean and secure as your business grows.
Google Workspace configured to support your Law 25 obligations
Québec’s Law 25 expects businesses to protect personal information, control who can access it and document any incident. Because Google Workspace data can be stored outside Québec, the law calls for a privacy impact assessment of that transfer, and we help you gather the information it needs. Day to day, configuration makes the biggest difference: who can sign in, what can be shared, what is logged and how long it is kept. We set those controls up and keep them maintained, so you have the records you need for your incident register and for the Commission d’accès à l’information.
- Strong sign-in controls2-Step Verification, security keys for admins and role-based admin rights reduce the chance that a stolen password exposes personal information.
- Sharing policies setExternal sharing rules and well-organized shared drives limit who outside your company can open files that contain personal information.
- Audit logs reviewedAdmin console logs record sign-ins and admin changes, and file activity depending on your edition, helping you document what happened during an incident.
- Retention and offboardingGoogle Vault, included in Business Plus and above, supports retention and eDiscovery. A clean offboarding process keeps personal information from leaving with former employees.

Contact Us →What does managed Google Workspace include, and why not run it ourselves?
Google Workspace is easy to start, but the admin console has hundreds of settings that affect security and day-to-day work. Managed Google Workspace means a team configures those settings properly, organizes your shared drives, protects admin accounts, adds backup and handles user requests. You can run it yourself, but most SMBs don’t have someone with the time to keep up with Google’s changes. With Nexxo, a dedicated team that knows your environment takes care of it.
Which Google Workspace edition does my business need?
Google offers Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus and Enterprise editions. Starter covers the essentials, such as Gmail on your domain, Drive, Meet and Calendar. Higher editions add more storage, features and security controls, and Business Plus and above include Google Vault for retention and eDiscovery. You can also mix editions in some cases. During our assessment, we look at how each team works and recommend the edition that fits, not the most expensive one.
What affects the cost of Google Workspace support?
The main factors are the number of users, the Google Workspace edition you choose, how many phones and laptops need to be managed, whether you add a third-party backup service, and how much security and compliance work your industry requires. One-time projects, such as a migration or a cleanup of an existing account, are scoped separately. We give you a clear quote after a short assessment, so there are no surprises.
Do we need a separate backup if we already have Google Vault?
In most cases, yes. Google Vault is built for retention, legal holds and eDiscovery, not for restoring a mailbox or a shared drive after a mistake or an attack. Google itself says Vault isn’t designed as a backup tool. Google keeps its service running, but protecting your data is largely your responsibility. A third-party Google Workspace backup keeps separate copies of Gmail and Drive data that we can restore quickly when something goes wrong.
Can you handle our Google Workspace migration from another email provider?
Yes. We migrate businesses to Google Workspace from other email providers and from other Google Workspace accounts, for example after a merger or a rebrand. We plan the move around your schedule, migrate email, calendars, contacts and files, update your domain records and support users through the switch. Once you are on Google Workspace, we keep managing it, so the migration is the start of the relationship rather than the end of it.
Should we choose Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
Both are solid platforms, and Nexxo manages both, so we have no reason to push one over the other. Google Workspace often suits teams that work mostly in the browser and value simplicity. Microsoft 365 can be a better fit if you depend on desktop Office files, Windows device management or industry software built around Microsoft. We look at how your business works today and give you an honest recommendation, including when staying where you are makes the most sense.
How does Google Workspace fit with Québec’s Law 25?
Google Workspace data can be stored outside Québec, so Law 25 calls for a privacy impact assessment before you entrust personal information to it. We help you gather what that assessment needs. We then configure the controls that support your obligations: 2-Step Verification, sharing policies, audit logs, retention with Google Vault on eligible editions and clean offboarding. These tools support compliance but don’t replace your own policies or legal advice, and you still need a person in charge of personal information.
What does your Google Workspace admin support include day to day?
Our team handles the everyday requests that eat up your time: password resets and 2-Step Verification issues, new users, departing employees, shared drives and permissions, groups, Gmail problems, calendar and room booking, and device questions. Support is available 24/7 from a dedicated team. We also watch your environment proactively for security alerts, risky sharing and failed backups, so many issues are fixed before your staff notice.
