Intune management that keeps every device in line

Managed Intune gives a growing business control over every laptop and phone that touches company data, without an in-house IT department. Without device management, things drift. New laptops are set up by hand, one at a time, with whatever settings someone remembers. Some drives are encrypted, others are not. Windows updates are postponed for weeks. Employees read work email on personal phones with no PIN, and when someone leaves, nobody is sure which company files are still on their devices. A lost laptop then turns into a guessing game about what was on it and who can open it. Microsoft Intune, included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium, solves this, but only once it is configured and maintained. Nexxo takes that work off your plate. We enroll your devices, write the security and compliance policies, control updates, deploy apps and protect work data on personal phones. Our team monitors device health proactively and answers your users 24/7.

Zero-touch laptop setup

With Windows Autopilot, new PCs can ship straight from the supplier to the employee. At first sign-in, the laptop joins your company, applies your security settings and installs Microsoft 365 Apps on its own. No more preparing machines at the office or losing half a day on each new hire.

Macs, iPhones and Android

Intune manages more than Windows. We enroll macOS, iOS, iPadOS and Android devices, using Apple Business Manager and Android Enterprise where they fit, so company-owned devices of every kind follow the same rules and show up in one inventory.

Personal phones, protected work data

Employees can use their own phones without handing over the whole device. App protection policies keep work data inside Outlook, Teams and OneDrive: they can require a PIN, block copying into personal apps and remove company data on its own. Personal photos and apps stay private.

Security and compliance policies

We set the baseline every device must meet: BitLocker or FileVault encryption, a PIN or password, the firewall turned on and a supported operating system version. Devices that fall short are flagged as non-compliant, and our team follows up before a gap becomes an incident.

Access from compliant devices only

Device compliance is tied to Conditional Access in Microsoft Entra ID P1, included in Business Premium. If a laptop is unencrypted or months behind on updates, it can’t reach company email and files until it is fixed. A valid password alone no longer decides who gets in.

Updates, apps and remote wipe

We use update rings to roll out Windows updates in stages and keep devices patched on schedule. Microsoft 365 Apps and your line-of-business apps are deployed automatically. When a device is lost or an employee leaves, we retire it or wipe it remotely.

How it Works

Our 4-step Intune approach

01

Assess your devices

We inventory your laptops, phones and tablets, check how they are set up today and review your Microsoft 365 licences. You get a plain-language summary of what is protected, what is at risk and what to fix first, including which devices are personal and which belong to the company.

02

Design your policies

We agree with you on the rules: what every device must meet, how personal phones are handled, how updates roll out and who gets which apps. Policies are tested on a small pilot group before they reach everyone, so nobody is locked out on day one.

03

Enroll and deploy

We enroll existing devices in Intune, set up Autopilot for new Windows PCs and roll out app protection for personal phones. If you are moving from another device management tool, or from no management at all, we plan the switch to limit disruption.

04

Manage and support

Our team monitors compliance and update status proactively, handles new devices and departures, and adjusts policies as Microsoft updates Intune. Your users can reach a dedicated team 24/7 when a device misbehaves, and lost devices are dealt with as soon as you report them.

Law 25

Device management that supports your Law 25 obligations

A lost laptop or stolen phone is one of the most common confidentiality incidents. Under Québec’s Law 25, you must record it in your confidentiality incident register and, if it presents a risk of serious injury, notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people affected. Intune helps you answer the hard questions quickly. Was the device encrypted? Was it compliant? Can its data still be removed? Encryption, remote wipe and compliance reports help you show that reasonable security measures were in place and assess the risk with facts. On personal phones, keeping work data separate also respects your employees’ privacy.

  • Encryption on every deviceBitLocker and FileVault encryption is required and verified, so the contents of a lost laptop are far harder for anyone else to read.
  • Remote wipe and retireCompany data on a lost or stolen device, or on a departing employee’s device, can be removed remotely as soon as you tell us.
  • Compliance reports on recordReports show each device’s encryption and compliance status, useful evidence when you assess an incident and update your register.
  • Employee privacy respectedOn personal phones, Intune manages only work apps and data. Your company can’t see employees’ personal photos, messages or apps.

What is Microsoft Intune, and why have it managed?

Microsoft Intune is Microsoft’s cloud-based mobile device management (MDM) and app management service. It lets you configure, secure and update Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices from one place, without servers in your office. The tool is powerful but doesn’t configure itself: policies have to be designed, tested and maintained as Microsoft updates the platform. Unlike a one-time Intune consultant, Nexxo keeps managing it after setup, watches compliance and handles new devices, departures and lost devices for you.

Do we need a separate MDM tool if we have Microsoft 365 Business Premium?

Usually not. Intune is included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium, along with Microsoft Entra ID P1 for Conditional Access and Microsoft Defender for Business for endpoint protection. Many SMBs already pay for what they need but have never set it up. Intune is also available on its own or as an add-on for other plans. During our assessment, we check what your licences include and whether a separate tool would bring anything extra.

Can Intune protect work data on employees’ personal phones without invading their privacy?

Yes. For personal phones, we usually don’t enroll the whole device. App protection policies apply only to work apps such as Outlook, Teams and OneDrive: they can require a PIN, block copying work data into personal apps and remove company data when someone leaves. Your company can’t see personal photos, messages or apps, and the employee’s own content is not wiped. It is a fair balance between protecting company data and respecting employee privacy.

What affects the cost of Intune management?

The main factors are the number of users and devices, the mix of Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android devices, whether personal phones are in scope, the Microsoft licences you already have and how many business apps need to be packaged and deployed. Setting up Intune for the first time, or moving from another tool, is scoped as a one-time project. After a short assessment, we give you a clear quote, with no surprises.

Can you move us to Intune from another device management tool?

Yes. Whether your devices are managed by another MDM, by on-premises Group Policy or not managed at all, we plan the move in stages. We recreate the settings that matter in Intune, test them with a pilot group and then enroll the rest of your devices. Some devices may need to be re-enrolled or reset along the way, and we schedule that work to avoid disrupting your team.

How does Intune help with Québec’s Law 25?

Lost and stolen devices are a common source of confidentiality incidents. Intune helps limit the damage: devices are encrypted, company data can be wiped remotely and compliance reports show each device’s status. Those records help you assess whether an incident presents a risk of serious injury and document it in your incident register. Intune supports your obligations but doesn’t replace your own policies or legal advice, and you still need a person in charge of personal information protection.

What happens when a laptop is lost or an employee leaves?

Tell us right away. For a company device, we can wipe it completely or retire it, which removes company data, apps and settings. For a personal phone, we remove only the work data in apps like Outlook, Teams and OneDrive. Combined with disabling the person’s account, this quickly closes access to company information. Each action is recorded, which helps if the loss has to be documented as a confidentiality incident.

What does your Intune support include day to day?

Our team enrolls new devices, prepares laptops for new hires, removes devices for departing employees and helps users who are blocked because a device fell out of compliance. We watch update status, encryption and compliance reports proactively, and adjust policies as your needs change or Microsoft updates Intune. Support is available 24/7 from a dedicated team, so a blocked employee or a lost phone gets attention whenever it happens.
