Managed Microsoft 365 from an experienced partner closes the gaps most small businesses don’t know they have. Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is easy to buy and hard to run well. Licences pile up for people who left months ago. Files get shared with “anyone with the link” and never locked down. Multi-factor authentication is turned on for some users but not others, and nobody is sure whether the company’s email and files are actually backed up. Each gap looks small until a stolen password or a deleted folder turns it into a bad week. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work, Nexxo takes that work off your plate. We right-size your licences, secure identities and devices, organize Teams and SharePoint, protect your data with proper backup, and handle day-to-day user requests. Our team monitors your environment proactively and answers 24/7, so problems get fixed before they slow anyone down.
Licensing right-sized
Business Basic, Standard or Premium: we match each person to the plan they actually need, remove unused licences and flag when an upgrade makes sense for security. You stop paying for seats nobody uses and stop missing features you already pay for.
Secure business email
We configure Exchange Online with proper anti-spam and anti-phishing policies, email authentication records for your domain and safe mailbox sharing. Suspicious sign-ins and forwarding rules are watched, because a compromised mailbox is often how fraud starts.
Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
We build a clear structure for your teams, sites and folders, with permissions that follow your org chart. People find files faster, external sharing stays under control, and new employees get access to the right places from day one.
Identity and access control
Microsoft Entra ID is the front door to everything. We enforce multi-factor authentication for every user and, on Business Premium, add Conditional Access policies that block risky sign-ins, such as logins from unexpected countries or unmanaged devices.
Devices and threat protection
With Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender for Business, we enroll laptops and phones, apply security settings, push updates and protect against malware and ransomware. If a device is lost or stolen, company data on it can be wiped remotely.
Backup and Copilot readiness
We add a dedicated Microsoft 365 backup so email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data can be restored after a deletion or attack. Before you turn on Copilot, we review who can see what, so AI doesn’t surface files people shouldn’t open.
Our 4-step Microsoft 365 approach
Assess your tenant
We review your current Microsoft 365 setup: licences, security settings, sharing, devices, backup and how your team actually works. You get a plain-language summary of what is working, what is at risk and what to fix first.
Secure the foundations
We close the urgent gaps: multi-factor authentication for everyone, email protection, admin account cleanup and backup. If you are moving from Google Workspace, an on-premises Exchange server or another tenant, we plan and run the migration.
Organize and onboard
We structure Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, enroll devices in Intune and set up repeatable onboarding and offboarding. New hires are ready to work on their first day, and departing employees lose access the moment they leave.
Manage and support
Our team monitors your environment proactively, applies changes as Microsoft updates the platform and answers your users’ questions 24/7. We review licences and permissions regularly so your setup stays clean and efficient as your business grows.
Microsoft 365 that supports your Law 25 obligations
Québec’s Law 25 expects businesses to know where personal information lives, who can access it and what happened when something goes wrong. Microsoft 365 has the tools to help, but they have to be configured. For Canadian tenants, core customer data can be stored in Microsoft’s Canadian datacenters. We confirm your data location, turn on audit logging, set retention policies and apply sensitivity labels to confidential files. Combined with regular access reviews, this gives you the records you need to keep your confidentiality incident register up to date and to answer the Commission d’accès à l’information if an incident occurs.
- Data stored in CanadaWe verify that your tenant’s core data can be stored in Canadian datacenters, which simplifies questions about transfers outside Québec.
- Audit logs enabledSign-ins, file access and admin changes are logged, so you can reconstruct who accessed what during an incident investigation.
- Retention and labelsRetention policies and sensitivity labels help you keep what you must, delete what you should and protect personal information.
- Regular access reviewsWe review who has access to sensitive mailboxes, sites and shared files, and remove access that is no longer needed.

Contact Us →Why work with a Microsoft 365 partner instead of buying licences directly?
Buying licences directly gets you the software, not the setup. A partner configures security, structures your files, manages devices and supports your users. Nexxo is a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work, a designation Microsoft gives partners that show skills and customer success with Microsoft 365, Teams and related tools. It also means support from a team that knows your environment instead of a general help line.
Which Microsoft 365 plan does my business need: Business Basic, Standard or Premium?
Business Basic covers email, Teams and web versions of the Office apps. Business Standard adds the desktop apps. Business Premium adds the security layer most SMBs need: Conditional Access, Intune device management and Microsoft Defender for Business. Many companies mix plans, giving Premium to people who handle sensitive data. During our assessment, we look at each role and recommend the plan that fits, not the most expensive one.
What affects the cost of managed Microsoft 365?
The main factors are the number of users, the Microsoft licences you choose, how many laptops and phones need to be managed, whether you add a dedicated backup service, and how much security configuration and compliance work your industry requires. A one-time project, such as a migration or a cleanup of an existing tenant, is scoped separately. We give you a clear quote after a short assessment, so there are no surprises.
Doesn’t Microsoft already back up our Microsoft 365 data?
Not the way most people assume. Microsoft keeps its service running and protects its infrastructure, but under the shared responsibility model, protecting your data is largely up to you. Deleted items are kept only for a limited time, and a ransomware attack or a bad sync can affect files across your tenant. A dedicated Microsoft 365 backup keeps separate copies of email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams that we can restore when needed.
Can you migrate us from Google Workspace or an old Exchange server?
Yes. We migrate businesses from Google Workspace, on-premises Exchange servers and other Microsoft 365 tenants, for example after an acquisition. We plan the move around your schedule, migrate email, calendars, contacts and files, and support users through the switch. Once you are on Microsoft 365, we keep managing it, so the migration is the start of the relationship rather than the end of it.
How does Microsoft 365 help with Québec’s Law 25?
Microsoft 365 includes tools that support your Law 25 obligations: core customer data for Canadian tenants can be stored in Canadian datacenters, audit logs show who accessed what, and retention policies and sensitivity labels help protect personal information. These tools only help if they are configured. We set them up and keep them maintained. They support compliance but don’t replace your own policies or legal advice, and you still need a person in charge of personal information.
Do we need a separate antivirus if we have Microsoft 365 Business Premium?
Usually not. Business Premium includes Microsoft Defender for Business, which provides endpoint protection, detection and response for your company devices, along with Defender for Office 365 for email. Once it is properly deployed and monitored, most SMBs can retire a separate antivirus. Some businesses also add managed detection and response (MDR) for round-the-clock threat hunting. We help you decide based on your risk level.
What does your Microsoft 365 support include day to day?
Our team handles the everyday requests that eat up your time: password resets, new user setup, departing employees, shared mailboxes, Teams and SharePoint permissions, Outlook problems and device issues. Support is available 24/7 from a dedicated team. We also watch your environment proactively for security alerts, failed backups and risky settings, so many issues are fixed before your staff notice.
